The purpose of this Corporate Compliance and its component policies and procedures is to establish and maintain a culture within our company that promotes quality and efficiency; high standards of ethical and business conduct; and the prevention, detection and resolution of conduct that does not conform to our standards and policies, applicable law. The Corporate Compliance applies to all our personnel, including but not limited to its Board of Directors, administration, employees and other entities providing services on behalf of our company. The Corporate Compliance comes to doing our business in a legitimate manner and the obligations concerned has been set out further in our Code of Conduct, which reference available upon request.

S&R (Marine Services) BV was founded on April 2001 as a private organization which is particularly specialized in NVOCC activities throughout the globe, mainly aiming for the Transatlantic, Pacific and Canadian area business. By negotiating numerous service-contracts with various shipping-lines, S&R can offer a variety of opportunities for her clients (forwarders 40% and direct vendors/consignees 60%) in a wide schedule-scale against competitive rates. With an average annual volume of about 25.000 TEU and an annual turn-over of approximately Eur. 35 million, we are able to guarantee their customers continuously updated rates and services, mainly for full-loads (FCL), to be performed besides various secondary activities such as LCL, road transport, warehousing and airfreight.

Leaning on 30 years of experience in the NVO-industry to and from the USA and Canada, the staff of S&R can be of great assistance for direct clients and forwarders as well as overseas agents. Situated in the southern part of Rotterdam, S&R is strategically based within the range of the port area, the Rotterdam airport and all required customs-facilities. S&R (Marine Services) BV is part of the D&R Group, comprising out of a number of companies active in various fields of container-logistics, such as Freight Forwarding, NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), Custom Brokerage, Software development for integrated logistics information, Inter-modal (rail/barge/road) Logistics and Depot activities.

S&R was founded in April 2001 with the main aim to offer container transportation, between any point in the USA & Canada and worldwide destinations and origins. By negotiating numerous service-contracts with various shipping-lines, S&R can offer a variety of opportunities for her clients (forwarders 65% and direct vendors/consignees 35%) in a wide schedule-scale against competitive rates.

Being one of Rotterdam’s leading suppliers in logistics, we operate with our extensive in-house team, backed by a European network of dedicated agencies and representatives. Our intermodal capabilities are unrivalled as we are backed by one of our sister companies DistriRail, who offer direct connections between all terminals in the Port of Rotterdam and the European Hinterland

At S&R Marine Services, we take the transportation of your cargoes personally and we offer our customers a vast and modern fleet of containers. From straightforward dry boxes, specialized equipment for “out-of-gauge” cargoes to state-of-the-art controlled atmosphere reefers, S&R Marine Services has the size and type of box to suit your needs;

General Cargo
Dry van containter specifications
The dry freight box is the most widely used container for general cargo and is available in 20ft and 40ft lengths. For high volume, low weight cargo, 9ft 6″ high, 40ft and 45ft units are available giving an additional internal cubic capacity.

Out of Gauge Cargo
Special Containers are available for heavy loads and oversize cargo as well as project cargo. Numerous of very strong lashing devices on longitudinal rails and corner posts.

Refrigerated Cargo
Refrigerated container specifications
There are three refrigerated container sizes available as follows. For goods which require a constant temperature S&R Marine offers Refrigerated Containers.

Using modern technologies these containers afford constant temperatures above or below freezing point. Reefer Container do have their own electrically operated cooling/ heating unit. The power supply is provided by ship’s electrical plant, by terminal or by “clip-on” diesel generator.
